What are your thoughts on victoria azarenka?

she has just won her 2nd grand slam mixed doubles title and reached the quaters in the women's double after reaching the finals at the aussie open and has made some very impressive singles results to cement herself in the top 20. do you think she will be able to crack the top ten, as she already has in doubles, by the end of the year? and do you think she is a good player?

i think she's good.. i've watched her matches and although she's not the biggest hitter, she definitely plays big.. plus she's also pretty smart. she doesn't go attacking on the first shot. i like how she plays the ball.. she likes to hit crosscourt and not outright winners down the line shot after shot like other younger players like her. the fact that she's successful in doubles tells me that she has a great net game.. unsure on her resolve since i've only actually watched her twice.. but it looks like she's pretty tough too.. although kind of emotional at times.. but she has definite potential to be a top 10er soon..

I think she's a great doubles player, and quite a good singles player as well. But I don't think she'll make it big time (like top ten) in singles. She is more suited to doubles.

Cracking into the top 10 in singles is difficult, the field is very competitive there. But Azarenka is a very good player, but cracking the top 10.... maybe not this year.

I think she is one of the often over looked, under rated players these days. She most certainly has risen steadily in the rankings and along with Radwanska, Szavay, Cibulokova, and Wozniacki, will continue giving top players fits and also continue rising in the rankings. Until they get that big match win over a top player, or/and several in a row, they will unfortunately be over looked, but no doubt their games are quite strong and their future looks bright.

yeah she does seem to have better doubles results in comparison. good quality singles player too but i can only see her as a fixture inside the top 15-20. i don't see the consistency from her in singes. she's capable of that big top player upset but she's also prone to melting--as she did against kuznetsova.
