  1. Number five or six Mepp's/blue fox in line spinners.  Silver and Fire tiger are good most places but depends on the lake.  You can fish them fast close to the surface or slow.  I usually fish it just slow enough  to get the blade spinning and fish it as deep in the weeds as possible without getting hung up.  Set the hook it you feel the blade stop spinning.

For smaller fish rattle traps work really well in red or chrome.  They can be fished a number of ways at different depths.

Five of diamond spoons are easy to fish and are available everywhere.  Yellow with red diamonds and a gold back worked well in the past.

For the monsters (over 40 inches) I use muskylures like bulldawgs or  suicks.  Black is always a good bet but bright colors work well. You need much heavier equiipment to use these lures.(they can weigh several ounces)

  2. The old standby is a daredevil spoon (red and white or perch color)

I have done well with jointed floating Rapalas when the pike are in the shallows - and the strikes are impressive!

It is hard to argue with the success of Babe Winkleman and that d**n Banjo Minnow.

  3. the classic spoons never fail: daredevle

rapala husky jerk I like the orange, blue silver one

take a top water buzzbait for weedy areas

  4. Johnson`s silver minnow-spoon- silver, gold, firetiger

    Bango minnow-natural minnow

    mepp`s long cast spinners-gold orange,silver blue,firetiger
