  1. Frazier-Ali-1

    Tunney-Dempsey 2

    Louis-Schmeling 2

    Ali-Foreman

    Leonard-Hagler

    ******

Frazier Ali: both fighters were undefeated, and both had a legit claim as undisputed undefeated heavyweight champ, and the fight was crazy exciting.

Tunney-Dempsey 2.  Dempsey was the first American sports icon and Tunney beat him.  The rematch was highly anticipated and full of action that is still discussed to this very day, as if it all happened a month ago.

Louis-Schmeling 2.  Not much of a fight, but any time Hitler got comeuppance, it was a good thing.  Master race my butt!  Very important moment for black athletics as Joe was the first of his race to "win one for America".  There were no hyphenated-americans, it was all Americans for whom he was fighting.  It served as the first unifying moment for American sports fans.

Ali-Foreman.  Classic battle between the slugger and boxer, major upset and an unbelievable knockout.  Ali cemented his claim as the greatest ever with this win.

Leonard Hagler.  The best or second best middleweight of all time squaring off against the second best welterweight of all time, in their prime.  There has never been that much skill and that much athletic ability in the ring, before or since.  Brilliant performance by both fighters, and people still talk about this one as if it happened last month.

The Sporting world stood still for all of these fights, and that's what makes a superfight.

  2. all of the guys already put it...

  3. My top five are in no order:

    1. Ali vs Frazier I - What else to say about this fight. 1. Both fighters were undefeated. 2. Both fighters received an un heard of 2.5 million for this fight. 3. It brought all walks of life to see this fight.

    2. Sugar Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns I - The first big fight below Heavyweight.

    3. Michael Carbajal vs Chiquita Gonzales - Man the first big million dollar fight for the little men. I mean little men!

    4. Oscar De La Hoya vs Felix Trinidad - I know it did not mean nothing really but before the fight it was all people was talking about!

    5. Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito - Man I know this fight has not happened yet but I am listing it because it is a superbout believe that one!

I have a lot more fight I think were big but hey I just listed 5 out of million I liked.....

  4. 1, Hagler Vs Hearns

    2, Frazier Vs Ali 1

    3, Ward Vs Gatti 1

    4, Corrales Vs Castillo 1

    5, Morales Vs Barerra 1

These are my top 5 favourite fights of all time but im not 100% sure of the criteria for the question does it have to be a superbout as in the most hyped fight of the year or the decade because then my answers would change as some only became known about after the fight took place.

    SUPERBOUTS

1, Hagler Vs Hearns - The three round war, the most exciting 3 rounds of boxing ever witnessed.

2, Frazier Vs Ali 1 - The fight of the century, Ali comes to take his title back but runs into a brick wall in Frazier, the Left Hook that floors Ali in the 15th goes down as one of the most important punchs in history.

3, Ali Vs Foreman - The Rumble in the Jungle, Nobody thought Ali could pull this off Foreman having just destroyed Frazier knocking him down on multiple occassions, Big George shouldnt of underestimated him he had been telling us he was the greatest for years.

4, Ali Vs Frazier 3 - The Thrilla in Manilla, the most brutal fight ever, both fighters are that determined to win this third encounter that much that they both put themselves extremely close to being seriously hurt.

5, Holyfield Vs Tyson - I nearly put Louis vs Schmelling 2 but as i wasnt around in 1938 it is hard to say whether it was classed as a superbout although i think it probably would be the Holyfield Vs Tyson bout would definitely go down as a superbout and i remember being shocked how Holyfield made it look so easy against someone who everyone though had just had a bad day at the office against Douglas, this is when we started to realise Iron Mike wasnt what we thought he was.

  5. i'm only gonna pick fights that have happened since i became interested in the sweet science, as everyone else will have covered the best of the rest.

    hagler ~ leonard

    holyfield ~ tyson 1

    benn ~ eubank 1

    chavez ~ rosario

    chavez ~ taylor 1

  6. 1.Tyson vs holyfield

    2. Pacquaio Vs Morales

    3.Ali vs Frazer

    4.Dela Hoya vs. Mayweather

    5. Austin vs The Rock (hahahahahaha)
