  1. My three favorite books would have to be The ***** Posse, My Sister's Keeper, and Harry Potter

The ***** Posse was such a page turner. I finished it in a day, and it wasn't that short. Its about three girls in their teen years and them as an adult. [like now and then kind of] it talks about them in high school and some crazy things they did [one slept with her teacher] and then them as adults. [ one ends up in a psych ward] I wouldn't recommend it for children, but it's a good book.

My Sister's Keeper is brilliant. It had a creative plot  about a girl who has a sister with leukemia and was only born to save her sister. the girl struggles throughout the book trying to decide whether or not she should keep having blood tranfusions, bone marrow, etc. she hires a lawyer and conflict arises between the healthy daughter and the rest of her family.  irony is in all the right places. I only had to read the first three sentences and i was hooked. it wasnt one of those books where you have to keep reading boring stuff to reach and understand the interesting parts. it is definitely a book worth reading.

I have yet to read the final Harry Potter book, but i think the world of the first six.[which is surprising because i don't really like the fantasy type]

  3. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It's about a girl, shunned by her only living relatives and shipped off to a boarding school, and her life. Mainly, it's about her years as a young teacher, and what happens when she falls in love with her employer. It's a great classic.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The story revolves around a young man who, on his wedding day, is falsely convicted and sent to prison, where he remains for several decades. When he is free, he tries to avenge those that accused him. This book is an amazing adventure/romance.

The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy. During the French Revolution, a cunning and mysterious man (nicknamed the Scarlet Pimpernel) is attempting to save aristocrats from the guillotine using various disguises. At the same time, a beautiful woman has lost the love of her husband. Little does she know how much her story intertwines with the Scarlet Pimpernel's... I love this book because of it's romance, adventure, and excitement.

These books all meant something to me, and I enjoyed each one. I wish everyone would have a chance to read them.

  4. 1) Robert R. McCammon's "Boy's Life"

Synopsis:  A boy (Corey Mackenson) rides his father's milkman route tih him and sees a car go across the road into a bottomless lake.  They discover the driver was tied in and naked (and already dead when the car crossed their path). He spends his summer searching for the killer in Alabama in the segregated 60s, and is surprised to find what the answer teaches him about his small hometown.

    2) David Gemmell's "Ravenheart"

Synopsis: Kaeling Ring is a teenage Highlander boy in an alternate Scotlannd, ruled by an alternate England, and he struggles through schooling and upheavals from the tyrannical rule.  He goes rogue with his deceased father's best friend Jaim, who teaches him the meaning of honor and love.

    3) John Saul's "Nathaniel"

Synopsis:  When Michael Hall's father (Mark) dies in his hometown of Prairie Bend, Michael and his mother (Janet) travel there for the first time.  They meet his grandfather (Amos), and the rest of that family on the farm, and discover a dark secret.  As they piece that secret together, Michael discovers he has gifts and has visions of his father.  It's a classic original horror.

  5. Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

It's set about 900 a.d. and is about a man who builds cathedrals.

His name is Tom Builder (this was before people had last names!)

and is the story of him and his travels around and the things he

         builds where he goes.

Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon

I read this years ago and don't remember much except it's about

Africa and the diamond fields there and how this one guy gets to

them across a field that full of blasting things.  It was very, very

         interesting.

Anything by Sandra Brown  -- She used to write romance novels but

changed to murder/mystery novels a few years ago and I have to

yet to read anything by her that I didn't like.  She always has a

little thread of romance in her books, but they are always very

interestingly written about a murder and include a mystery in every

         story.

  6. The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux: At the Paris Opera, a "ghost" haunts the house. Meanwhile, young soprano Christine Daae is being trained by an Angel of Music, a deformed man who loves her and wants her to stay with him forever.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo: I really have no idea how to condense this one into a few sentences, so I won't even try! I just spent several minutes writing a summary, but that summary was plain horrible. But anyway, it's a fantastic book. It just brought so much emotion out of me.

The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis: Children from our world go to a magical land called Narnia, where they have adventures. It's fantastic.

  7. Twilight: human girl falls in love with a vampire boy

Eclipse: 3rd book in the twilight saga

  8. twilight is a bout this girl bella who falls in love with a vampire edward cullen in the first book she almost gets killed bye this bad vampire coven laurent, victoria and james.she escapes but edward thinks she is in danger so in the second book(new moon) him and the whole cullen family which are all good vampires who only hunt animals leave and bella is heart broken for a few months until charlie who is her dad yells at her because she acts lifeless so bella hangs out with her long time friend jacob and she starts to get better but one day she finds out jacob is a werewolve and that he cant be friends with her she is sad again and charlie calls jacobs dad who tells charlie its because jacob is tired of liking bella when bella doesnt like him eventually jacob sneaks in her house at night and apologizes. when ever bella is being reckless and stupid she hears edwards voice so one day she thought if she hikes up to a spot edward took her to one day shell hear his voice but when she gets there she finds laurent there hes about to kill her when a bunch of wolves attack him(that was before she knew werewolves existed) any way, one day she wants to hear edwards voice so she decides to jump off some cliffs into the water she wasnt looking at the water so she didnt see it was dangerous in the water that day so she almost drowns but jacob saves her when she gets home she finds alice(edwards adopted sister who can see the future)there. alice thought bella died cause she is unable to see werewolves future so she didnt know jacob saved bella.bella is happy to see her so she asks alice to stay for alittle while.but they dont know rosalie whois edwards other adopted sister told edward bella died.so when jacob comes to see when the vampire is leavig edward calls pretending to be his father ,carlisle and jacob tells him charlie is at the funeral edward plans to get the volturi which are kind of like the vampire police to kill him since ther is only one way to kill a vampire. but jacob ment charlie went to the funeral of one of his friends who died of a heartattack.so when alice sees him going to the volturi her and bella go to italy to stop him.when they do bella still thinks after they leave italy edward is going to leave again cuz he lied and told her he didnt want her before when he left the first time.the only way they got out of italy was to promise the volturi that bella to become a vampire and they do .oh and edward can read minds except for bella they dont find out why till the fourth book. in the third book eclipse victoria is making a army off newborn vampires to kill bella so the cullens and the werewolves team up (even though they hate eachother) to save bella and the town, meanwhile jacob loves bella and edward knows it.bella wants edward to turn her in to a vampire though edward doesnt want to but two days before the fight edward agrees that after they graduate and get married he will.the night before jacob finds out and threatens to get himself killed in the fight if bella doesnt kiss him of coursehaving a good heart she does and she gets mad when edward gets all sweet and doesnt blame her because she blames herself edward doesnt fight with everyone else cause bella wants him to stay with her but victoria catches bella scent and comes after her so edward protects bella and rips victoria to shreds and burns the pieces.in the fourth book they get married and jacob comes back (he ran away in between books) and gets mad when he finds out bella is going to have a REAL honey moon with edward. while there on there honey moon bella gets pregnant with edwards baby so they go back home so carlisle can help (he is a docter) edward and alice and carlisle want to get rid of the baby cuz it is half vampire, its growing rapidly and its hurting bella from the insidebut bella and rosalie and emmett(there other brother who is way strong) and esme(the mom) wont let them.when jacob heres bella is back and that carlisle told charlie she got a disease from the island he suspects its a lie and that edward really turned her into a vampire he goes over there and finds out the truth.when he tells the rest of thepack the leader sam wants to attack and kill bella and the bella but jacob leaves the pack(he can only do that cause he has leader in his blood)and  seth who is friends with edward and leah who is seths older sister join him so sam calls off the attack when the baby is born bella almost dies but edward saves her by turning her in to a vampire when jacob sees the girl which bella named renesmee he falls in love with her. the baby grows quickly and bella is worried.renesmee has the power to send pictures that tell you what she is thinking to people. even though noone can get in bellas head renesmee can still send pictures to bellas mind.one day when bella, jacob and renesmee are out hunting a friend of the cullens sees bella and renesmee she gets mad because she thinks renesmee is a child that was bitten and she goes to the volturi

2 - The Idiot by Dostoevsky. Bets love story ever written, 2 best female characters in literature. I love Nastasya. The book is that there is no place in the world for a good human.

3 - Steppenwolf by Hesse. This book just made a strong emotional impact on me, plus the best female character ever - Hermina. The idea that I liked the most in this book is that two people are mirrors for each other.

  13. well, its a tie.  i love twilight, eclipse, and breaking dawn.  i don't like the second one as much because edward leaves and jacob black is the center of it.  (ugh)

  14. My first favorite book would have to be Eclipse (third book of the Twilight saga). I won't go into it because it's part of a series, but it's really good. (By Stephenie Meyer)

My second favorite book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I really like the plot there in that book. Also, since it's the second book of a series (and everyone's probably already read it), I won't go into it. (By J.K. Rowling)

My third favorite book... hmm... it's probably l8r, g8r, a great break from giant, thick books. Completely written in instant messages. It's the third in a series, so I won't go into that one either xD (By Lauren Myracle)

  15. Lincoln by Gore Vidal-An exquisite historical fiction about Abraham Lincoln from the time of his Inaugeration to death.

The Alienist  by Caleb Carr- A crime/mystery taking place in NYC in the 1890s with thoroughly interesting characters including the delightful Teddy Roosevelt, thrown in for color.  A must read!

Tortilla Flat/Cannery Row/Sweet Thrusday by John Steinback.  Three novelettes about a Marine Biologist and his retinue of scoundrels in a beat-up ocean town in N. Calif. during the 1930s-40s.  The stories are laugh out loud funny, sweet, melancholy and splendid.

    Hope this helps...

  16. The Host - Stephenie Meyer(This is amazing! It's controversial. Read it and you'll be amazed.)

Skin - Adrienne Maria Vrettos (Told from a unique point of view. A boy's struggles through life with a bulimic sister. Very touching!)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K Rowling (Need I say  more?)
