1.)Fasting on this day. (making it compulsory on yourself)

2.) Visiting Graves .........(decorating the graveyard with lights and other stuff).

Well i consider it as a Bida'h to do so on 15th Shabaan .............because Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) never told aur taught us to do so .............there is no Hadith or Quran verse to prove it .

Its a kind of Shia , Barailwi , Sufi ,etc thing.

As you know majority Muslims of Indian Subcontinent do lot of Bida'h (Innovation in Islam ) ........

What are you views ????????????

  1. Fasting is not soo necessary on 15th Shabaan, ofcourse decorating graves and all is such an insanic thing to do..

Yep i totally agree with you.

    .

Pakistanis specially make a lot of Shirk and Bidah

Prophet Mohammed PBUH never mentioned anything bout this :)

  2. Why the h**l would anyone want to decorate a grave. That is stupid. The dead or dead, let them rest in peace.

  3. To be honest, Hadiths on the side since everyone has a different set of it, I find it bidah. Anything that becomes a habit embedded in religion that was not practiced at the time is an innovation, to me at least. I don't celebrate birthdays or any other holiday except which was practiced at the time of the prophet: Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adhha.

    EDIT:

There won't be any Hadiths from Bukhari or Muslim to support those rituals/holidays since it was not practiced during his time and they are Sunni Hadiths. For those who do celebrate it, they use a different set of Hadiths. I know for sure there is nothing in the Quran that supports it either.

  4. making 15th Shaban special is only Haram according to Wahabism. But Wahabism is not a valid school of thought according to 4 Sunni schools of thought. Because They made the halal Haram...

Tawassul is Halal according to Sunnis, but Wahabis made it Haram.... so they did a major sin in doing so...

Thus I do not trust Wahabi fatwas on anything....

p.s. Celebrating anything Cultural is NOT Bidah....!!! we are not associating anything to God or changing his laws here...

  5. There is no authentic Hadith describing the importance of this night .

So most of the scholars call it Bidah

And Shias say its the birthdate of their Mehdi (so they celebrate it )

But islam is not the religion which promotes to celebrate birh dates.

Some thing origionated from shias and suffis

    Allah knows best
