The Earth doesn't need saving, it will do just fine.  What does need to happen is for people in third world countries to stop having so many damned kids.  

The saving part is a false hope.  Mankind needs to adapt to a changing climate.  It's a good thing to take care of the environment.  It's stupid to think that taking care of the environment will have any great effect on climate change.  Adapt, that's how things work and species survive.

Global warming is a state where universe temperature equalizes to ours and a condition of heat death will occur .Also bring to peoples mind the crack in ozone layer  which will emit U V rays and which is a serious issue.Cutting trees,dumping e-wastes and other contaminated gases,water etc lead to pollution .As big and big factories touching heaven are raising every moment and where where greenary is being destroyed,the ways to prevent pollution is being closed.Not even one group or another could do implant trees or bring greenary to our earth but this could be achieved by bringing awareness of this serious condition that will swallow our earth must be done.Each person must enrich his surrounding or the max area by implanting trees and thereby bringing greenary.Similiarly if every person have the same thought.,we can come out of this serious hazardess situation

This is burning topic of discussion among the high and social activists. We are playing with nature and also paying the price for our misadventures from time to time. The people who got noble prize for their efforts to wards making people aware of this dangerous trend we have adopted for the improvement of our living conditions is a very small step. But is that enough ? Present day societies all over world should ponder over this .And each one of is required to do our bit.

Actually many people are into saving the environment, particularly in stopping and preventing global warming. Unfortunately even if we have this community of earth-lovers, there too are a lot of people who don't seem to take a stand against this rising environmental problem. As a 15 year-old student we have been discussing about pollution and its adverse effects like lobal warming. This lessons though help us understand and take precautionary measures. I hope everyone will realize that we only have one planet to live in and that we should take care of it. Love the earth

Saving the earth from exactly what?  No one has quite articulated that yet to everyone's satisfaction.

The bottom line, how is warm weather bad?  The US, Canada, Northern Europe make out well.  Ask anyone if they would pay more taxes and lower their standard of living for COLDER winters.  That is why this issue gets zero political traction from inside the beltway.

People already move to hot areas, they have already adapted to temperature changes that exceed 100F in the course of a year.  People have already adapted to bad weather, tornadoes, floods, forest fires, mudslides, hurricanes, etc.  They live near active volcanoes that have killed lots of people in the past, and may erupt in the future -- and don't move away from the danger.

So how exactly is an imperceptable warming over a 100 years going to completely devastate the earth?

It can't.  The earth has been warmer in the past, and colder in the past.  If climate change was the end of the world, it wouldn't have lasted as long as it had.

Speculating as to what will happen in a 100 years ... is ridiculous on its face.  Not only speculating, but claiming beyond all doubt something will happen.

Sorry, there are too many random events that can intervene.  Yellowstone supervolcano erupting, bird flu pandemic, total nuclear war, meteor strike, general volcanic activity, etc.

Just because something sounds good, and the legacy media and social elites pile on because it makes them feel good, doesn't make it the best course.

Case in point, bilingual education.  All the politicians, media, liberals, etc. supported it ... not just a little, but whole hog.  It went to a ballot proposition in California and lost decisively.  Deep down, people want just one language, because maybe they knew how divisive multiple languages are to a country.  Look at Canada and Quebec, Belgium, etc.  As soon as people can't communicate with one another ... bad things happen.

Now all the politicians, legacy media, liberals, etc. still think the democratic result was wrong, and the majority of people are wrong.  But if this group of "intelligentsia" can be so out of touch on a simple issue, anyone think they have the ultimate insight on something as complex as climate?
