I know it can be comfy to put your feet up, but can you not consider others? Do you want to sit on a seat after someone else has had their dirty shoes on there? We just live in an age where no one has any consideration for others.

  1. People only think of themselves. Maybe a sign would remind them of there manners.

  2. Loutish

  3. take a photo of them and post it on face book there is a group just for these inconsiderate sods

  4. I agree, it is inconsiderate but just another example of how selfish people are today

  5. I think it is inconsiderate and selfish behaviour.  I often wear a smart suit when I travel by train and the thought of mud and dirt all down the back of the skirt is not pleasant and doesn't look very professional!

  6. It's fine if they put a newspaper or something under their feet.

  7. I agree,as relaxing as it may feel you are still in public and even if the person isn't 'rude' by doing that they are portraying a certain type of mannerism especially if dressed a certain way-not that it should take over but by judging a book by it's cover' you could assume they are known for doing the wrong thing.

This has happened a few times before on the bus someone had their feet up and there wasn't really anywhere else to sit,so I sort of humoured with the person for the seat it turns out that they were tired and did willingly put down their feet although that's not always the case.I didn't want to sit there but there wasn't much of a choice,I would prefer it if people didn't do that, but it seems like this is the way people are now and this manner is being passed along.

Iam afraid to say it seems like respect for eachother and even simple manners has gone out the window.

  8. thats why i drive a car . i dont want to get dirty

  9. Whenever I see a dog crapping on the pavement, and the owner looking on and doing nothing about it, I don't blame the dog. It's always the owner's fault. When some one puts his/her shoed feet on a seat on the train or bus, I think to myself that somewhere some adult is guilty of neglect and poor parenting. Of course, the perpetrator is guilty of inconsiderate behaviour and bad manners, but why are they like that? We are bringing up our children to only think of themselves and bugger all. I have seen parents telling their children to grab seats reserved for elderly and disabled people and leave them to stand. As for telling them not to stand and jump up and down on their seats in their shoes...you might as well expect to see Gordon Ramsey shaking hands with Marco White.

  10. I try to take no notice of it, but I would not prefer to sit there afterwards.  I have been raised to believe it is weird and that has stuck with me.  Only if the person has a cast on their leg or some medical problem would I be able to understand it and not mind.  Generally it is rude, and unsanitary.  Hope that makes you feel better :)

  11. It's sheer ignorance. I bet they don't go to bed with their boots on ! ! !

  12. I think they are selfish. As you have written, I don't want to sit on dirty seats!!
