  1. Seems weird that we have been around so long and have got to the stage where there are so many technologies around that keep chopping, changing, upgrading etc. and great forms of transport air, sea, and land that you would have to think if the planet is still healthy deep into the future then we'll (with even newer technologies) be off colonizing other planets but that idea might just be wishful thinking due to the distance involved even to the closest "planet" (Hey maybe we could colonise an asteroid if it ever comes close enough to our orbit??).  My other thought is that with all the problems in the World well we'll end up killing ourselves with major plagues, poison gases in the air, something going wrong with the water supplies and like the dinosaurs have a mass extinction.

  2. I would love to be an H&G-er.  =)

  3. hmm, well I think technology and innovation is just about maxed out... I think theres only so far we can go with science and business.. despite having a GPS nav system, a 160 gig video ipod and razr cell phones, alot of people just arent happy...

I think we've been obsessed with invention and competition for most of human history, and I bet in the near future our focus is going to turn inward...

  4. We'll never know, whether or not we're just a science experiment, under someone else's microscope!

  5. We will be progressed right off the face of the earth just like the several other mass extinctions before us. out with the old in with the new

  6. I would like to think it is possible to piece together the progression in our anatomy, our mental capablilities, with the prevailing environmental conditions at the time they evolved.

    Key features are:

    Standing upright

    Opposing thumb and finger

Invention of ad hoc use of tools

    Making tools

    Development of the larynx

    Relating objects to symbols

    Language

Through all of this, I think there is a striking relationship with our mammalian forebears, and I don't think we should put very great weight on the differences. The beauty of life is something we share with all animals and plants. The only difference is, we are capable of becoming unconscious of it.

Although the science is incomplete, there is a lot out there, so get reading.
