  1. """This was my first offence and they treated me like my crime had been far far worse."""

How bad does it have to be, she disfigured someone for life:

""Assault left woman victim permanently disfigured

A HEAVILY pregnant woman sobbed uncontrollably yesterday as she was handed a two-year prison sentence for a brutal attack on another woman in a Paisley nightclub.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard that mum-to-be Donna McLeish left her victim permanently disfigured after smashing a glass into her face.

McLeish, who is four months pregnant, carried out the vicious assault in front of revellers at Vienna’s disco in New Street.

The 21-year-old had persistently denied any guilt and, although admitting that she was at the disco that night in March 2006, she maintained she was not the person who had struck Joanne Bradley with a glass, inflicting a wound near her eye and coming close to endangering her sight.""

As if that wasn't bad enough she has the cheek to name her baby after her victim!!!

  2. My view is the rights of these sort of scumbags always seems to take precedence over the VICTIM,their was one prisoner paid £1.25million for breaking his ankle on a little drain in the showers,if your raped, murdered, assaulted or burgled all you get is F*** ALL.THEY SHOULD BE MADE TO WORK TWELVE HOURS A DAY TO PAY FOR THE COST OF THE MEALS AND A BED,TAX LIKE THE HONEST HARDWORKING AND COMPENSATION TO THE VICTIM!!!

Why should the honest hard working taxpayer meet the bill for their term in prison, three square a day for derisory sentences which offer very little if any rehabilitation. Not to mention still paying for them for the rest of their lives to protect them(Jamie Bulgers killers etc)PURE MENTALISM

  3. don't do the crime if you can't do the time!

    what did she expect?

prison isn't meant to be soft, accommodating or easy.

if she hadn't committed a crime, she wouldn't have been put in prison, would she?

I'm finding it difficult to feel any sympathy for her

as does she regret the attack & understand the suffering of her victim?

No, she's too busy feeling sorry for herself & threatening to sue.

  4. I think this is a bit heavy handed yes she broke the law and deserved to be punished but, being cuffed 24 hrs a day and to a male guard as well is very harsh and quite frankly a disgrace.

It is even more harsh considering people who commit far more serious crimes do not get treated that way.

  5. Sorry, but if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Pregnant or not, I won't make exceptions. Just my personal opinion. Maybe if there were conditions like that in general people would think more before they broke the law.

  6. That sounds pretty bad... although as the article says, she shouldn't have committed the offense. The fact she was chained to MEN though should be addressed. Despite being a criminal she's still human and should still deserve rights.

  7. well i do not thibnk it is exceptable behavior to take a womens dinity way by being with in eye shot while she went to the bath room,,, I would calss that as sexual assault,,, it might be one of the perks that the rent a cops get to make up for the pennies thery are paid for wages

  8. Part of me wants to say that it serves her right for breaking the law.  However, no one should be stripped of their dignity in this manner.  She had complications due to her pregnancy and this would have made it impossible for her to escape without putting her life at risk.

  9. hopefully she learned a lesson.

  10. serves the silly bint right.

  11. slap it in to her the silly cow!!!!!!

What she want??? a good life for what she did???

    she deserved what she got!!!

  12. disgusting, do they do that to the men, have handcuffs on them while they take a shower or go to the bog, no i wouldn't have thought so, so why her.

  13. Terrible-glad to see they have now stopped the proceedure!
