  1. Witchcraft is a practise, it can be used in conjunction with any spiritual faith. Not all witches are Wiccan and not all Wiccans are witches. The practise of magick goes back to before recorded history, with amulets having been found in neolithic sites, and is probably as old as man.

Considering I'm a fam. trad. witch, yes, I've tried it, and yes I've had them work. Spellcraft is not something you play with, it is manipulation of energy and that is always a bit dangerous, especially if you don't know what you are doing.

  2. Witchcraft if very real and true.  I am a witch.  I practice regularly.  It works and magick is as natural as breathing.  We are all born with magick in our hearts.  We only have to learn how o access it.  It is just that most people suppress there natural gifts into extinction.  We are all taught from early childhood that magic is fantasy or evil or both.

As for books anything by Dorothy Morrison is wonderful.  I have developed a websight for the beginning witch that I will list for you.  There are many links there that you may find useful as well as my own blog.

    Many Blessings

  3. It's all faked illusions to woo people into spending immense amounts of money on cures.

  4. Don't look to any movie to tell you the truth about witchcraft.  I'm not sure what you've read so I can't answer that.  Witchcraft is not evil.  It's many things to different people.  To me it is my way of life.

I really don't know what else to tell you.

  5. i think they are pretty unique --- look up wicca-- that a good place to start..

  6. Witchcraft is paganism and paganism is satan worship. There's one God Not one hundred gods and goddesses.

  7. What the movies potray are off.

There are many forms of witchcraft and witches. Some forms of witchcraft can be based off of old anglo-saxon, greek, african, and norse beleifs, etc...Witches try to do everything that will be for a greater good that will not harm anyone, that will be good for all who are involved in what ever the situation may be.  But there are no "light" and "dark" witches in general.

Spells can work. You need to know what you are doing first though.

There are so many great books based on witchcraft, paganism and wicca.. Wicca, though is a new form of paganism that started last century. I don't really care for it...

You can pick up books by Cunningham, RavenWolf, Paplin, etc...These are mainly Wiccan authors. But, almost everything is interchangeable. Just stay away from anything written by Douglas Monroe, he is a quack who needs mental help.

A good site to go to is www.paganspath.com

I really suggest that you do your own reasearch with the help of books and good sites. Do not take one persons words to heart about it. Everyone has their opions. You have to find your own.

  8. if u truely long to be a witch and concur withe the wican rede it is one of the most natural things u will eva do, so people think its fake bt that is becuz they dont have belief in wat they are doing, if u are a natural witch the power of spells will come easily to u within a cuple of months, bt if ur not a natural witch it will take longer for u to truly recognize ur power

  9. Maybe you should think about being Psychic which is more accepted by society than witchcraft, Trust me being a witch is a very a bad idea, here are the tools to become a Powerful Psychic created by the two most Powerful born with Psychics powers in the world.--> http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=819...

  10. witchcraft is pure evil, why would you want to get involved with something like that.

  11. Witchcraft was around before most organized religion. Long ago everyone was polytheistic. The Celts were actually among the first witches.

Wicca is an earth based religion. Everything in nature is sacred. We gain our power and energy from it.

There are two books that I highly recommend.

    Living Wicca by Scott Cunningham

Wicca for Beginners: Fundamentals of Philosophy and Practice by Thea Sabin

Here are some links to a few sites that can help you too.

    http://wicca.timerift.net/

    http://www.witchvox.com/

The second link can help you to hook up with a teaching group in your area if you are interested.

  12. Don't look to the movies to tell you about witchcraft. Most of them have no idea what they are talking about. If you want to know, I suggest u do some research online or go to a local bookstore.

  13. cheats out there wish to steal ur dough

  14. No one really knows where or when Witchcraft started (exact time), but what is shown on tv and portrayed in books is not what witches actually do. Witches can't shoot lightning from their fingers nor fly on brooms. Witches do cast spells, but the result is not what's portrayed on tv. You can't see instantaneous results. It could take, days, weeks, months or even years to see the result of a spell...which is why Witchcraft takes patience.

I have practiced witchcraft for some years, and have had some successes, and some failures regarding my craft. Nothing is perfect, but it does take determination and perseverence.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft is a good, eclectic guide to witchcraft. They give good basic information that's not biased in any one tradition.

  15. Witchcraft is pretty close to the Celtic faith in doctrine.  The movies make it seem dangerous but it is pretty harmless.

  16. Movies and most works of fiction are not good sources.  Witchcraft does exist, but most media plays it up as flashier and more dramatic than it actually is.

Witchcraft (and I am a witch) has its roots in simple herb-lore of the past.  This sounds quite trivial, but consider what kind of memory and learning it took to remember the various uses of hundreds of different herbs and other plants and remedies as well as how to prepare each one.  That is why the word "witch" comes from a word meaning "wise-one."

The magical aspect of witchcraft depends on the principles of sympathy and correspondence.  That is, like affects like, and everything in the universe is related to everything else, but some things are more directly and obviously related.  Witches discovered that they could work magic by applying their wills in conjunction with the resources of the natural world.

Witchcraft is a natural and usually gentle magic.  It won't help you win the lottery, but it can help insure you never lack what you actually need.  That doesn't mean it can't be dangerous, and that there aren't people who misuse it, because nature can be savage as well as kind, and there are two sides to every coin, and at least three to every story.

There are many good reference books out there; Scott Cunningham is perhaps one of the most respected.  His books often deal with the religion of Wicca as well as witchcraft (because the two are often closely intertwined) but there is good stuff in his books for all religions who are interested in "the craft of the wise."

Personally, I've been practicing witchcraft most of my life.  Like anything else worth doing, it's not easy if you want to do it right, but anyone who is willing to spend the time and effort to learn can do so.

  17. Witchcraft is craft of the wicked and they basically fall into that "negative" category according to various systems of morality.
