What are your week 1 predictions for Jets @ Dolphins?

Question

I think the dolphins will win this one, Pennington knows the offense he is in, Favre doesn't. You also have to bet that the Dolphins now know the Jets playbook and tendencies. Niether team is very good, but I think the dolphins will start off better than the Jets.

Actually Hipto the Jets have already stated that Favre WILL be the starting QB. Anyway I think this game will be close and the Jets will pull it off. Really though I see it as a FG whichever way it goes. Sure the Dolphins D has an advantage of Pennington, BUT the Dolphins O has the problems of Pennington. He isn't that good of a QB and I really think his only advantage in week one will be knowing the Jets offense.

I think the Jets win will. Favre still has more preseason games and time to get ready. From all indications, he has adapted well and the new acquisitions the team made in the off season, especially on the offensive line should help. I wouldn't be surprised if Favre found his old teammate, Bubba Franks in the end-zone and look out for David Clowney, he has jets, no pun intended.

Pretty tough to answer now because you don't know who will be hurt by then. Even with the Parcel factor, I would have to go with the Jets because I don't see the Dolphins turning it around quite that fast. They also got rid of Taylor so their defense will suffer a little.

Farve may not know the Jets offense but he has vast amount of experience but may not be the starting QB. He still has to win that job.

The Jets nullified the improvements they made on the O-line by signing Favre. no matter how great a quarterback he is there is no way he can get up to speed in a new offense in 3 weeks.

And consider, as you've noted, that Pennington will share everything he knows about the Jets with Miami and you have the recipe for a beatdown, Miami-style.

I predict that Miami will win 23-13 and that Favre will toss at least 2 INTs. I'm going to love watching this game.

Jets will want to come out firing and prove they can make a playoff run this year. The dolphins are better then last year, but still bad.
