An ant can see only in two dimensions. A man can see in three dimensions. Man cannot (usually) imagine beyond an extreme of four dimensions (taking time as 4th). An ant cannot understand how a human exists. There could be (and definetly would be )creatures which percieve in other dimensions, which man cannot understand. They need not be in the same three dimensions that man percieves. One should therefore never deny the existance of other(probably more intelligent) creatures

  1. true, true...i believe in all paranormal...who are we to say that something doesn't exist just because we have never seen it ourselves...

  2. Agreed.  Read Pickover's "s*x, Drugs, Einstein, and Elves."  He posits the idea that humans evolved with the ability to see, hear, smell, taste and touch along with other senses.  However since we require only the basic 5 to survive we also evolved a filter; simply chemicals released in our brain to limit (or inhibit) our remaining senses which might let us experience extra-dimensional realities and perhaps beings.  Everything beyond sight, hearing, touching, tasting and hearing would not benefit us as a species and might even have hindered it.

He also gets a little nutty, speculating that hallucinogens, such as ayahuasca, might enable these senses.
