  1. i would think...

    1 botany

    2 geology

    3 astronomy

  2. The first would be "botany", the study of plants. And seeing as a tree is a plant, it would fall under this category.

The second would be geology. Geology is the study of the Earth, and its characteristics. Seeing as oceans are part of Earth, it would fall directly under this category.

The third would fall under my personal favorite, astronomy. Astronomy is the study of celestial bodies in the universe. A star is a celestial body... seeing as we appear to be studying this star, it would fall under "astronomy".

  3. The first fact: "The tallest tree ever was an Australian eucalyptus – In 1872 it was measured at 435 feet tall.": is a fact about Geography or have possibilities that that will be included in Forestry.

While the second ones is also Geography but more specific if we'll use Oceanography. It may also be Geology.

The last was absolutely Astronomy, it is about stars. It is more on stars.
