What areas of Brighton are most desirable and least desirable?

Is it a pretty 'poshish' city? Much crime? Whats the town like of an evening? Is it an attractive town to live?

Also, are there many parks? (According to googlemaps there is only a decent one in Coldean)

What is the Coldean/Uni area like?

It seems it is possible to live pretty centrally cheaper than places like Cambridge/ London also-agree?

There are 400 pubs and many nightclubs. There are also live music venues including the Brighton Centre and the Brighton Dome. There are gigs every night. Queen's song Brighton Rock is centred on Brighton.

As most cities do, there are wealthy and not-so-wealthy areas to Brighton. The most expensive housing in along d**e Road and surrounding areas, where you can expect to pay anything up to around £3million for a house!

Then you've got the suberbs of Brighton, called Whitehawk, Bevendean and Moulsecoumbe. These areas are mainly housing estates.

Park wise, there are loads! You've got Preston Park (which has everything ranging from football pitches, gardens and play areas). Theres Blakers Park, which is a 5minute walk from Preston which is a large green with a play area. There are many many more including Brighton Park, St. AnnesWells Park and more.

If you are planning to go to Uni in Brighton, then i suggest you live along Lewes Road as it has 24hour buses running from the Uni's to the centre of Brighton. Another popular area is near London Road, as again, this has many central bus/rail connections.

Town in the evenings can be immense! The most popular nights to go out, are of course Friday and Saturday nights where all the major clubs are open (Tru, Ocean Rooms, Oceana, Honey Club, Digital etc). Entrance fees vary between £5-£15 depending on the venue and time. Thursday is student night, where you can expect free entry and cheap drinks all night! The main clubbing/lively area i Brighton is called West Street.. in the centre of Brighton.
