  1. Cut all military spending to zero.

Destroy all armaments and equipment fitted to crafts and disband navy, army and air force personnel.

Commandeer and requisition all existing craft and equipment for peaceful and socially acceptable use.

Re-employ and re-train all personnel to work in legal, health, education, environmental and other municipal and national services.

Re-educate the nation that guns and weapons are for little immature children of an old era dominated by neanderthals.

This would release a huge national impetus for re-nationalising essential services such as energy, transport and communications ready to be run with military precision by a disciplined and loyal class of professionals creamed from the disbanded war machine.

My taxes are spent on killing thousands of people and I abhor the notion of being coerced by a tax regime that forces me to become an accessory to murder. A system that implicates the public in genocide is the most repugnant form of political organisation in history.

I pay my taxes with a prayer to God that He will forgive me for supporting the daily slaughter of His creation everywhere that He does not inspire.

  2. The areas that need looking into are contracts - especially MoD contracts.  Please read Lions Donkeys and Dinosaurs by Lewis Page - corruption emanates from almost every page - but no one is willing to ask the right questions or get substantive answers.

Ministers assume they are in hock to big business and have to keep the proponents of the Washington Consensus on Globalization happy - whereas they are actually voted in by ordinary people electors .  It is the electors who are kicked into touch and the elite who expound special pleading for their own particular milch cow whom our politicians cow tow to.

ID cards for instance - who is going to get the contract and how is that contract going to be supervised.  If you look at the contract for the NHS - a company was appointed and made a thorough hash of it.  That company did not get hit by any penalty clauses - as it would in any commercial enterprise when a pigs breakfast is made of a contract.  No - what happened was that the company that made a hash went way over budget apparently attempting to rectify their ineptitude and so went way over budget - a budget the taxpayer ultimately paid.

If penalty clauses are not a part of normal contracting procedure when bidding for government contracts you have a virtual blank cheque - make a mess of it - double your profit and keep working on - so making far more profit.

Seems to me that a little bit of commercial awareness is not what is lacking - outright corruption under the camouflage of ineptitude is what is really at play here.

  3. How about cuts in war mongering?

  4. Members of Parliament Salaries and expenses!

  5. politician allowances should be the first to go, they should get travel expenses only, like a lot of people who have to travel to work everyday. they can claim allowances for second homes that are greater than the average national wage, absolute disgracce.   get rid of all the management consultants in the nhs, cut the benefit bill by getting the lazy ones back to work, stop pandering to immigrants and handing everything to them on a plate, we should make them learn english so we dont need to spend millions on having info translated into every possible language on the earth, stop fighting wars in far flung places under the illusion of national security.

  6. 2012 Olympics and paying illegal immigrants to go home.

The money saved could be spent in our Schools, NHS, and on our Police Force's up and down the country.

  7. are you talking about Australia?

  8. stop paying  illegal immigrants to go back home. stop giving benefits to every foreigner that asks for it. stop paying child benefits  to claimants whose children either live in another country or don't even exist.

then theres the incredible waste of money spent on roads signs that warn us of road signs ahead, or traffic signals ahead, or speed calming humps ahead.   that might be local councils but its still our money being thrown away.
