  1. If you just need a quick boost start with 2 glasses of water. If you feel better after 15 minutes then you were just dehydrated. When we are dehydrated we get tired and feel lethargic. Water can increase our energy and metabolism levels by 3%. If that does not work then try something like tea, coffee, soda, or an energy drink.

Keep in mind that these all have caffeine and that caffeine dehydrates us. So we must drink extra water to offset that.

You can also look at some basics if you have energy problems routinely.

    1. Get enough sleep. No matter what we take there is no replacement.

    2. Drink plenty of water. We need 1 ounce for every 2 pounds of body weight and 8 more ounces for every 20 minutes of exercise. With hot/dry days or climates even more is needed.

    3. Take good quality multi vitamin/mineral supplements. We must all supplement and good ones increase our energy levels. Most available in stores simply are not worth the money. You get what you pay for. Also you can add a multi B complex supplement to the vitamin/mineral for extra energy. Also adding Ginseng with Ginko Biloba helps too.

Then after the basics if you need a boost then have a tea or somehting. We all need a boost from time to time no matter how well we take care of ourselves.

  2. Take your vitamins first of all. Take a vitamin B complex vitamin at least. CoQ10 is also a good vitamin for increasing your energy levels.

Make sure you are eating balanced meals. Plenty of veggies, fruit, protein and enough carbs to keep you going. Nuts are a really good source of energy as is fish.

If you want something to give you more energy other than natural remedies like shown above. I'd try an energy drink. Don't go down a monster though because those kind of drinks contain too much sugar and caffeine. I suggest you drink something a little more healthy. I drink a new drink called FRS. It works really good for me and is low in sugar and caffeine, so I get a boost and don't crash later on in the day.

http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html has a pretty good article about it and a link with a coupon for a free trial if you want to test it out before spending money on it.

    Anyway hope this has helped.
