Question:

What art style is this?

I see a lot of paintings that are painted in sombre tones where the colors look like they run together, almost like the artist painted it normally then dropped it in a bucket of water. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I see stuff like that at target a lot and I can't figure out what style it is.

  1. Nice work!  Yes I agree this is Impressionism.  Are you the artist, Thomas Kuehl?

and please peep my work, too?  maybe we could trade!

  2. I believe that is impressionism.

  3. i uno

  4. This is Fauvism. My favorite style in art.  Fauvism emphasizes painterly qualities and strong color over the representational values retained by Impressionism. The works of Matisse are the most representational ones of Fauvism.

  5. it is called "impressionist"

  6. It looks a lot like the type of art Monet did. Research him, his art as alot to do with light and reflections. It also has about the same kind of brush strokes as the painting the link goes to. goodluck.
