What artists/bands do kids listen to in spain, mexico and other spanish speaking places?

I like to listen to songs in other languages! I would appricate if thay are approitae songs with no bad words or inapropreate subjects!

Some of the best or most succesful Spanish artists or bands (native from Spain, non just Spanish-speakers) are "Amaral", "Pereza", "Héroes del Silencio", "Mecano", "La Quinta Estación", "Miguel Bosé", "La Oreja de Van Gogh", "Alejandro Sanz", "M-Clan"... among others. All of them are as famous between older people as between teenagers.

In Spain, also a lot of latin-american artist or bands are as succesful as the native artists, like "Shakira", "Juanes", "Maná", "Paulina Rubio", "Coti", "Julieta Venegas", "Gloria Estefan" ...

Personally, I recommend you "Amaral", with beautiful words and letters, beautiful sound, and beautiful voice of the singer. They do a pop-rock style, with a lot of elements: latin guitars, folk guitars, even electro-beats...

This is coming from an American Spanish Teacher, so, not necessarily the hottest with kids...

I think Luis Miguel is still really popular...I just heard his new song in Borders the other night.  He sounds so smooth!  

Shakira is still totally hot, as is Enrique Iglesias.

I like Gloria Estefan, but then, I'm old, and I like to find things that my students can understand...not necessarily the most popular artist with the youngsters.  Still, she's easy to understand.  And I'm pretty sure Maná is still pretty popular.  They, too, are easy to understand.
