Im doing a summer assignment for AP history and my brain is out of it and i cant seem to find anything. i found some stuff but it wasnt in same time period. It says on the sheet....

Choose any artwork from the same time period as the text. Please provide a copy or accurate location of said artwork so we can also view it to allow for grading.

Choose an example of any music, song, or poem and remember to provide a copy or easy access to what you chose to enable us to fairly grade your choice.

How do art (painting, sculpture, and architecture), literature, and music express a time period’s essence? (i.e. How do these items “teach” people not only of that time, but those far removed, the history of the time?) Be Specific with your rationale!

You are to provide an original cartoon, which you draw (or give someone who can draw credit for) which expresses or reflects P.O.V. in relation to the triad: Politics, Economics, or Social issues. Remember that this must reflect and reinforce the chosen era or epoch of your text.

  1. Well the novel was set during a time of slavery, so try looking up art that depicts field workers, or something that shows african americans being treated unfairly. For music, you could also look up songs that slaves sung while working. They simply depict a time in which blacks and white were not equal, which is the foundation for the novel (Atticus and Tom Robinson). Again, your cartoon could depict similar things.
