  1. twice bitten's answer, though it's also unlikely that a virus could have that much potential.

  2. Energy. Every living thing needs energy to move, to pump blood, to breathe, to munch on flesh, to go years without a food source. This is based on the Resident Evil series. In the newest one, (I forget the name) someone mentioned the zombies not needing a food source and being able to go years without food. This is illogical and physically impossible. To go years or even months without food would require that your pulse is slowed to almost nothing, you practically cease any breathing and that you don't give off body heat. The zombies only go down with a headshot...WHAT?!!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!? If the virus was the initial cause of death not being killed by normal means then you would assume that a revived human would be just as, if not more, vulnerable to gunfire or anything that would be otherwise lethal. You might argue that the virus affects their aggression and that's what keeps them going. This is true to a certain extent. A pissed off drunk guy can take up to 3 clips with a 9 mm to bring him down. The same may be true for a zombie, but certain restrictions do apply. A drunk guy isn't usually aware of where he is by that point. A zombie isn't impaired at all aside from that uncontrollable urge to eat flesh. A zombie acts on the need to feed (which apparently isn't that big of a deal to the Resident Evil writers) which means it's instinct. This is all assuming that a virus could kill that quickly and then in the small time that you're "dead", alter your brain to the extreme and convert  you to cannibalism. It would be impossible for this to be naturally occurring seeing as the victim would then turn to the zombie next to him and chew his neck off. It would have to be made in a lab (Resident Evil) and be designed specifically for that purpose. The zombies couldn't charge in groups if they were truly that hungry for flesh, there's a zombie buffet right behind you. The virus is supposed to affect animals too. BAH!!!! A virus that complex couldn't simply mutate to take on a new host. The zombie crows in Resident Evil couldn't exist. Think of how different a crow is from a human. The zombie movies do make an amusing horror flick but there is just so much of it that simply couldn't happen.

  3. All of it.

  4. all of it.......lol!

however certain forms of eating when it comes to human ummmmmmmmmmm consumption does come to mind!......lol!

    xx's

  5. The beginning, the middle and the end.

  6. all of it!... bc it's not possible.

    ``

(in ancient beliefs in the hawaiian magical area the thought of witchcraft practices was predominant. the witch through various chants/invocation + "potions" - basically tisane (hellbroth) , could zombify another if he inhaled those fumes. then he'd become the witch's servant... , walking around with no will of his own, and no cure for his "condition". witches were very feared because of this. )

this is more than a story.

but what would be the purpose of them turning canibalistic?? i doubt that would help the witch in any way!

...and the fact that you said "all humans". well someone has to controll them.

  7. One cannot even get around to doubting unless there is first:

    1) Some documented events, observations, or experimental results that require explaining, and

    2) Some proposed schema for explaining those events, observations, or results.

Those two items above provide grist for the doubter's mill.  The doubter can disparage the documentation of the events, the accuracy of the observations or the validity of the experimental design.  The doubter can accept the data, but supply alternative explanatory schemas.  One way or another, the doubter needs to be given something to doubt.

Cannibalistic zombies?  How can I even get into the business of doubting when there is nothing there to doubt but a cliched modern movie device?  There is no evidence that needs to be explained, no anomalous observations that can be cleared up by a "zombie" theory.   If I am going to get into the business of doubting silly little catch phrases, I find it much more entertaining to doubt vegetarian disco dancing zombies.  I doubt zombies for the same reason that I doubt transvestite Leprechauns.

  8. uhm   all of it.

  9. Wow, Michael...this is not something I have given a lot of thought to...

So I doubt all of it! LOL

  10. Pretty much the entire scenario that you described I find entirely doubtful.  Are you writing a screenplay?

  11. Well...how about them just being turned into zombies..

And even if they were to be turned into "zombies"..they sure would be very independent.

If you're talking about "Night of the Living dead" kind of stuff...that ONLY happens in the movies. Sure there might be like 5 cases in the history of the world in which someone was turned into a so-called "zombie"..but they could have just been under some kind of mind control while drooling & having a taste for raw meat(chicken, beef..etc).

But people eating people under mind control.....that will happen only if movies MAKE it real.

  12. all implies no remaining humans hence no food source

  13. If you are interested in the fiction of this genre I would recommend the book "World War Z" by Max Brooks.  That is all it is though, fiction.  In most of these stories the people are made into zombies by disease or radiation, and there has been no evidence of this happening to anyone anywhere.
