I am trying to watch Stargate WS and I'm wondering what aspect ratio I am supposed to use on my LCD widescreen... It a Samsung Series 4 450 and has several settings: 16x94x3zoom 1zoom 2The entire picture fits on the screen in 16x9 mode but it seems like it is squished vertically. Zoom 1 still leaves blank spaces at the top of the screen but it looks the best to me... Zoom 2 fills the entire screen. it doesn't look all that bad to me but it is obviously stretched more than the others. How am I supposed to know what mode to use? Do most people end up with pictures that are squished/stretched to some degree even when they are trying to use the correct ratio (16x9 for wide, 4x3 for standard)? I know some people just try to fill their entire screen, regardless of the original aspect ratio. I am not trying to do that. I just want to view the picture as it was meant to be viewed.
