  1. sociology is interested in every aspect of life.  family, religion, gender, social class, entertainment, age, healthcare, bureaucracy, sports... anything involving a group of people.  they raise questions like:  what makes people congregate together?  how do people act as a group?  how is a society formed?  who holds power?  what is a social norm?
