  1. I agree.  This is why "global warming" has been observed taking place on Jupiter and Mars!

  2. I believe the first step is to define what you mean by global warming.  It is not all that clear whether you mean a change to some grand average global temperature or just a set of local anecdotal events.

There is no conclusive data that the average global temperature is rising.  There is also little evidence to show that a change in global temperature can be caused by carbon emmission.  The whole global warming movement has taken on the structure of a religious cult, where followere are supposed to bow their heads to Al Gore and other Oracles, but where no empirical evidence is presented and their argument is supposed to be accepted on the basis of faith and hype.

Much of the data used to support global warming has been found to have been nothing more then a computing error.

    see:   http://news.mongabay.com/2007/0817-nasa_...

What data we do have comes from measuring stations which are frequently established in locations which severely bias both the results and the agreed criteria for the experiment.

    See:

We also can see cyclical solar activity and orbital variations as components in a long standing cycle of warming periods followed by Ice Ages, which predate both man and human technology.

    For instance:

The most that can be said about global warming is that it is likely a factor locally, and perhaps a factor globally;  but, there is no valid evidence that would suggest a significant rise in global temperature, or that such a rise if detected is due to human activity,

  3. The big one is changes in solar energy output from the Sun, which can vary over periods of time from decades to centuries.  There are also good indications tying sunspot activity to global temperature changes, more so than CO2 levels.

  4. The Sun goes through periods of activity, yes.  Every 11 years.  And then it goes back the way it was.  But the Earth keeps getting hotter.

A few of the other planets are also heating.  But if the Sun were causing it, ALL of them would be heating up - and they aren't.  Some are actually cooling.

There is no evidence that global warming is being caused by the Sun.  But tons of evidence that it's caused by us.
