  1. Hmmm...thats difficult.

The only thing related to a16th anniversary that I could find is...

Germany celebrating the 16th anniversary of reunification.

"The northern port of Kiel was the focus of this year's celebrations, which have been held in a different city each year since East and West Germany united on October 3, 1990".

  2. Hi there from Düsseldorf, Germany

Germany has been divided from 1945 - 1989 into eastern and western part, if you might know. In 1989 the Berlin wall fell down and it was still 2 different countries (Federal Republic of Germany as the Western part, and German Democratic Republic as the East part). But the people finally could travel into both directions and visit relatives thay have not seen for decades. Finally!  And then, in 1990, both countries grew together into 1 country, the Federal Republic of Germany. And this reunion we celebrate each year on the 3rd of October.

Though we are 1 country now, the wall is still in the mind of some people, meaning: East (the former communist part) and West do not understand pretty well sometimes, and it shows that you cannot just put 2 things together but you have to wait until it grows.

    Bye from Germany

  3. the reunion of East and West Germany
