What attracts flies to peoples skin?

when i am sleeping they annoy me by landing on my face arms and legs

Okay so i know this answer is gonna sound so stupid but believe me it actually works... they do it in fish markets in Louisiana to keep the flies away.... so if you take a one gallon ziploc bag and pour a bottle of water then close it...after that somehow tie the ziploc water bag to the ceiling above where you sleep...after 15 min all the flies will go away...i dont know why it works but it really does work

it can be the odor and the dirt. no offense. but try to put lotion or get rid of flies before sleeping.
