    Fourth Month

    Most babies can:

    Can smile and laugh

Can hold their own weight on their legs

Talk back to you with coos

    Some babies can:

    Hold a toy

Roll over from their tummy to their back

    Cut their first tooth

    May be ready for solids

Can imitate sounds like dada and mama

  2. Mine at 4.5 months can:

    hold his head firm

    grab small objects

    laugh

    scream

    blowing huge raspberries

chit chat (he loves talking to us, it's so cute)

he constantly practices new sounds which he'll use for a few days and then goes on to something new. At the moment it's 'adda'

roll over both ways (from 2.5 months belly to back and 3.5 months back to belly)

direct his bottle to his mouth

entertain himself better than before, he can actually play with things for a good while in his playpen.

reach out his arms to be picked up

put anything and everything in his mouth that he gets a change to.

suck his thumb with great vigor

recognize his favorite people / song / toys

I'm sure there's more. You'll see that he'll change a lot after his 4 month growth spurt. For mine the difference was amazing.
