What bait should i use?

Question

I fish locally for trout in a reservoir (stocked). At this time of the year the water level drops and the bottom is full of weedy scum! What should i use here? Its brown trout by the way!

Maggots, sweetcorn and fish bait are banned

that pretty much leaves earthworms, nightcrawlers or flyfishing, as far as I can see.

try rubber worms with a worm hook 1/0 in size, and rig it up texas stiyle,, makes it weeedless., also try mulyi hooking worms on one line, real fun when you catch 2 nice big old ones at the same time yeah-hawwee

Worms if you can and fish it off the top with a bubble.
