  1. find or locate structure on the bottom rock piles seem to hold large numbers of them. chartreuse colors seem to be pro fishermens favorite color but lime green to dark green in spring and orange to brown in fall. with the colors in mind you will be using lures that immulate crawfish jigs and trailers, fat (large curly tail) worms. Even smaller crankbaits if minnows are jumping out of the water the fish under them are scaring them out. switch to shad raps and other cranks matching both the baits size and color.

  2. go to bassresource.com there u can do alot of research on the subject since season, water temp, clarity, barometric pressure, and types of food available where u will be fishing all play a part in the types of bait that are good at a certain time of year and day. i personally have great luck on zoom lizards using a texas style rig or ordinary night crawlers  and minnows.

  3. worms, crayfish and minnows, and lures use crankbaits and spinnerbaits

    Try FLY FISHING for them

    here's a how to articlehttp://www.helium.com/items/1072479-fly-...

  4. try crickets

  5. crank baits

  6. with fall coming crankbaits

  7. Rebel teeny wee crawfish........deadly on smallmouths

  8. Natural colored "craw like" baits like plastic craws and tubes are good. Grubs are a good choice too. Try jerkbaits such as the Rapala X Rap and Husky Jerk. Don't forget about good old jigs either! Hair jigs and finesse jigs are great. Add a little more temptation by using a plastic or pork trailer with your jigs.
