I've overlooked Pink Floyd because they have a weird name and because of what people have told me what their music sounds like. And to some degree, Led Zeppelin, even though I like some of their songs.

  1. Uhhmmm...all popular music played on the radio and MTV. I figure, it's MTV and the radio, so it must not be good. Haha...oh, and any classical music from the baroque period, heavy metal bands, and rap "bands" or artists.

  2. wait never mind

ive overlooked madonna and ppl said she was too old or something (yah she aint a band, idc) but once you hear all of her music and look at the stuff shes done, look at her live recent performances at her tours youll realize that shes great no matter how old she is

  3. I overlooked Mastodon and The Sword at one time. I like them pretty well now.

  4. i overlooked nirvana at one time. the only song i had ever heard from them was smells like teen spirit.

i quickly learned the error of my ways, and now they are my fav band.

  5. The Who

  6. Van Halen and Def Leppard. Still haven't gotten into either of them.

If you asked me when I wasn't really focused, I'd think they were one and the same.

  7. I have overlooked many bands because I was too lazy to check them out in iTunes and because of their name. Might have missed a lot of good bands, don't know...

EDIT: Pink Floyd songs I know are good:

    Time

Another Brick in the Wall pt.1-2-3

    Money

The Great Gig in the Sky

    Speak/Breathe in the air

    Comfortably Numb

Speaking of Pink Floyd... You just give me the idea of playing Comfortably Numb...

EDIT2: Now that I think of it... Get the full album. The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon are to be played at once, I guess...

  8. Arcade fire.

p.s. Better late than never to discover Pink floyd!

  9. You overlooked Pink Floyd!  Blasphemy!  You shall be thrown in a garbage bin for all eternity!  I kind of didn't care about Van Halen, and still don't...  I also never really looked into King Crimson until recently, same with Rammstein.

  10. i overlook any bands that got their fame from the family channel. or anything pop. and i used to overlook slipknot because of their masks but now they're one of my favourite bands

  11. Jonas Brothers, Hanson Brothers, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Paramore, just to name a few.

I will continue to overlook them in the future. Any Problems with that? No, didn't think so.

  12. The Beatles

    The Who

    Nine Inch Nails

    Jonas Brothers

    FOB

    MCR

    Aerosmith

I gave them a shot but they are terrible so yeah I overlook them on purpose

  13. I've overlooked quite a lot of the classic rock stuff that keeps being mentioned here.Actually, the only bands I've really listened to(more than an entire album) are Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd,Velvet Underground,Jethro Tull,AC./DC,The Beatles,The Stones.

When it comes to the others,it's only songs from here and there that I've heard.I would like to look more into The Who in the future(for example...).

Of course I deliberately overlook hundreds of contemporary bands or bands from genres/styles I don't particularly enjoy, but I don't care about that.

It's good that you want to explore Pink Floyd, listening to them has been very rewarding for me.You should keep in mind though that their work through the years has been very diverse and ever-changing,so don't draw your conclusions easily based on 2-3 songs. Here are some examples, the first 3 ones lean more towards their early psychedelic side:

    See Emily Play

    Lucifer Sam

    Arnold Layne

    Wish You Were Here

    Young Lust

Another Brick in the Wall pt 2

    Comfortably Numb

    Brain Damage

    Money

    Breathe

    Time

    Have A Cigar

They all stand out as being some of their greatest stuff, but my advice would be to get an entire album ,since it flows greatly from one song to another(separate songs, although still beautiful, won't work as well). My suggestion would be The Dark Side Of The Moon.

  14. The Beatles. I guess I was never interested in them

  15. definitely pink floyd and led zeppelin, def leppard, too.
