What bank info do I need to give to the job manager? ( CANADA )?

I got hired at a restaurant and I have to bring my bank info so they can transfer pay checks to my bank account. What info do I need, I live in canada BC. thx

  1. If you have a checking account you can bring them one of your checks.  From this they can get the banks identification number and your account number (its the funny set of numbers printed on the bottom of the check}.  

    Do not fill in any detail on the check and do not sign it.  Across the face of the check you should write the word ---------- VOID------------- ,

The only information you need to provide anyone is your bank name, branch, routing number and account number.  No other info is needed.  In fact, if you are concerned about someone accessing your account, have your bank set up a separate account where your direct deposits will go.  Then you can transfer them into another "working" account and not have any concerns that someone else can access all your funds or get any financial information.
