Here is the situation (and please if you are going to judge me in your answer, just don't bother as I already beat myself up over the situation and I'm not asking to get beat up some more). A few years ago I got myself into some trouble with approximately 3 banks (I was young and stupid). I had negative credit with SunTrust, Bank of America, and Wachovia. I now have an excellent job and am now fixing my credit, including chexsystems. The problem is...no bank wants to give me a checking account (big surprise there, huh?).
My question is that I am about to apply to Transportation Alliance Bank and Fidelity Investments mySmart Cash Account. Has anybody heard of these banks as being more trustworthy than others in giving people bank accounts who have made mistakes?
Please don't tell me that I need to fix chexsystems...I am presently doing that and am going to keep doing that until the matter is resolved.
Ten points to whoever can give me a good, unbiased answer. Thank you!
