    access and use your local tenancy advocate services and do not be afraid to take formal action if a breach of the agreement between you and the landlord can be substantiated.

    keep accurate records of your contacts with your landlord and all communications to be confirmed in writing.  verbal undertakings have no grounds.

    use the systems available to you and appeal all decisions you believe to be made without full consideration of your families needs.  the more formal evidence/qualified reports you provide to support your housing needs the greater your chances of being housed into an area and property suited to your families needs - access to human support services/necessary facilities and amenities.

    be objective.
