For a great meal you can head over to EL Botin. The food is great! Try the artichoke hearts, the best I've ever had! It's on one of the exits of the Plaza Mayor on Cuchilleros. Your closest metro stop is SOL. Also in Plaza Mayor is El Meson de la guitara. Great tapas and sangria.

A great restaurant is the Lando and another is la hoja, Los tres Encinos is very good too.  All of these are restaurants.  A pretty well known club is Joyce Lava
