I know the tail designator BA was only used on the F-4 Phantom, not the F16 and is not used anymore, and in the beggining it shows the end to the base name, but I can't find it anywhere.

  1. thats because that base doesnt exist (at least not the name)

The film was made somewhere in the Middle East, possible Isreal, as was Iron Eagle 2

the reason for this was that the US government refused to allow a jet fighter in a movie about stealing them.

the external shots of the base might have been realy in the US

but 99% of the movie was not shot int he US

i know that for a fact, there were all sorts of articles on it

I am watching it right now and in wide screen the name of the base is "Beecher Air Force Base"

when i looked up the name it lists Davis Mountain

Must be a sub name for it.

anyway i know for sure the fighters and most of the movie was filmed in Isreal and that area.

  2. Either Luke Air Force Base or Davis Monthan Air Force Base ... both in Arizona. :)
