  1. This has only happened six times in the history of the MLB since records were kept.

Milwaukee did it vs. Cincinnatti on 06-08-1961 in the 7th Inning. Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Joe Adcock, and Frank Thomas (hitters). Jim Malone gave up two and so did Marshall Bridges.

Cleveland did it vs. Los Angeles Angels on 07-31-1963 in the 6th inning. The hitters were Woodie Held, Pedro Ramos, Tito Francona, and Larry Brown. Paul Foytack was the pitcher for all four.

Minnesota did it vs. Kansas City on 05-02-1964 in the 11th Inning.

Tony Oliva, Bob Allison, Jimmie Hall and Harmon Killebrew (hitters). Vern Handrahan gave up the fourth homer and Dan Pfister gave up the first three.

Los Angeles did it vs. San Diego on 09-18-2006 in the 9th Inning.

Jeff Kent, J.D. Drew, Russell Martin, and Marlon Anderson (hitters). Two came off of Jon Adkins, and two off of Trevor Hoffman.

Boston did it vs. New York on 04-22-2007 in the 3rd Inning.

Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, Mike Lowell, and Jason Varitek (hitters)    Chase Wright gave up all four homers.

Chicago White Sox did it vs. Kansas City last week on 08-14-2008 in the 1st Inning. Jim Thomem, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez and Juan Uribe (hitters) all of of Joel Peralta. Robinson Tejeda gave up the fourth.

FYI- J.D. Drew has been a part of this feat twice. As well I find it quite suprising it happened 3 out of 4 years in the early sixties and has happened 3 years in a row as of 2008.

  2. The Dodgers did it a couple of years ago. The hit 4 in the 9th inning to win the game with Normar Garciaparra hitting the last one to win it.

  3. White Sox did a few days ago.

  4. red sox did it against the yankees last year... it was sweet!  I totally rubbed it in my boy's face cause he's one of those annoying Yankees fans (as opposed to a non annoying yankee fan) and he had it coming.

  5. FOUR IN A ROW

On Sunday night, the Red Sox became one of five teams to belt four consecutive home runs in a game:

    Team Date Opponent Players

Red Sox 4/22/2007 NYY Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, Mike Lowell, Jason Varitek

Dodgers 9/18/2006 SD Jeff Kent, J.D. Drew, Russell Martin, Marlon Anderson

Twins 5/2/1964 KC Tony Oliva, Harmon Killebrew, Bob Allison, Jimmie Hall

Indians 7/31/1963 LAA Woody Held, Pedro Ramos, Tito Francona, Larry Brown

Braves 6/8/1961 CIN Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Joe Adcock, Frank Thomas

  6. I saw the White Sox do it a while ago.

I remember the Red Sox did it against the Yankees last year on ESPN.
