What basic parts do you need to build a lego boat?

i want to build a lego boat iv tryed like 50 times but had no sucsess

you could put foam on the bottom so that it will float. like the kind you get from supermarkets that meat come in... make sure to wash it off first.

is it that hard??? i used to play with lego alllll the time... and i made many boats... are you a serious lego builder and want a large scale models???
