  1. Lithium last 2-3 times longer than regular alkaline but cost about 3-4 times. Rechargeable NiMH batteries last 3-6 times longer per charged, and it's reusable. Cost about about twice the lithium or even less, but you can use it more than 100 times.

  2. Lithium batteries last the longest. It's always a good idea to have an extra battery around also. You can buy them for cheap because they aren't as expencive as you may think. ou can get a good battery with a great warranty from http://www.needbattery.com They have the lowest prices on the web.

  3. energizer-lithium

    or standard duracell

    both work well.

  4. Rayovac NIMH Hybrid are really the best for the value

They last as long as Duracell and Energizer and cost less primarily because Rayovac doesn't spend billions on advertising

Here is a link where you can purchase them:

  5. Lithium batteries last the longest of any battery available today. You can also use the rechargeable NiMH batteries. These can last twice as long as standard alkaline batteries and have the added benefit of being reusable. You can find rechargeable batteries for about the same cost, and sometimes less, than the lithium batteries. My experience has shown you can get up to 500 shots with lithium batteries, about 250 with rechargeable and 150 with alkaline. Results do vary from camera to camera.
