It says you can use an 8.4v or a 9.6v

The manufacturer recommend a 9.6v but i am worried: ive often read and heard that if you use a more powerful battery that your gun will not last as long. It is a $200 SRC TSD M4 with an upgraded piston as well as an upgraded m120 spring.

If i get an 8.4v will it be able to turn the gears?

Or if I get a 9.6v will it deacrease the life of my gun?

  1. who know who cares just check online duh

  2. If the manufacturer says a 8.4V can be used it'll turn the gears and work. In general a higher voltage means a higher rate of fire, but too high and you will over load things. I wouldn't use anything higher than the 9.6V battery personally cos there's only so much ammo you can fire before you empty a mag.

So you can use either it's up to you, I only use 8.4V cos I use low cap mags.

As for the current, generally the larger the mAh the longer the battery will last between charges. 1100mAH should be plenty as long as you aren't using a battery sling or similar which adds more resistence (more cables) at which point you're best off getting a battery with as big a current as possible.
