I really don't want to spend a lot of cash on a Lipo battery, but Im having trouble finding a 9.6v for a reasonable price. Can someone tell me what would fit in the stock, is a reasonable price around ($30-$40 if possible), and what Mah I should be aiming for? Also, can you tell me what charger I should get for it? Im not really new to airsoft, but I havnt bought any AEGs that havnt come with their own battery and charger. Thanks!

  1. First of all, I'd like to recommend you get a LiPo. The rate of fire is just freakin amazing and it's totally worth it, however there's chances of LiPo fires so if your new to airsofting I'd stay away from it for now. Now a decent 9.6v is gonna cost at least around 30-40 bucks, yea sorry, but quality is better than having to buy cheap batteries that might break or die out. The more mAH you have the longer your battery lasts, except it takes longer to charge. If you want, you can buy a standard wall charger but you need to calculate how long you need to charge the battery. Basically just divide the mAH with the voltage, such as for example. A 9.6v battery that's 2000 mAH, divide 2000 from 9.6 and that's around 210 minutes, so charge for around 3 and a half hours. But I recommend a smart charger(around 40), Now since the m16 didn't come out yet, I have no idea what type of plug it has(mini or regular). I'm guessing it's a mini but if it isn't you can just buy an adapter(5$). Here are some 9.6v batteries

Batteries(first two are the pretty good ones, last one is cheap as you can tell by the price)

The first one has a larger type connector(regular) and the second has a mini type connector. Last one also has a mini type connector. Now you can choose one from your budget, but if you want my recommendation, I'd pick the middle one, I personally own it and it's awesome. When you get it however be careful not to pull the wires.

Charger(First one is a smart charger, second is the wall charger)

I'd recommend the smart charger since it tells you when the battery is finished charging(Green means it charging, red means it done). And also if you do buy the smart charger, set the switch to 0.9a(you'll see if you buy it) because if you turn it to 1.8a the battery may die faster but the charging speed is increased. Yeah that's about it, hope I helped.

*By the way, the more volt a battery has 8.4v, 9.6v, 11.1v. Can increase your gun's rate of fire. But be careful some guns can't handle the battery and will leave your gun with a stripped gear.

  2. This is one of the best sites i have found for airsoft gear.
