  1. According to NOAA (U.S. Department of Commerce), it was 136F in El Azizia, Libya and -129F in Vostok (Antarctic Station)


  2. Maximum temperature records are for Al'Aziziyah, Libya 57.7 C (135.9 F) on the 13th September, 1922

    Minimum temperature records are for Vostok Station, Antartica with -89.2 °C (-128.6 F) on the 21st July, 1983
