What beach conditions are needed in order to ride a RETROFISH?

Retro or not, Fishes work good in most any type of surf. Mostly beach break type waves where you do a lot of rail to rail type turns to pump your way down the line. But that also works for point break waves to. Smaller surf , up to head high or so . Depending on how long you have been surfing will depend on the size you would want to go "fishing" to. An experienced  surfer could ride a fish in larger surf, and depending on the wave will make a difference to. You would not want to take a fish out in 15 foot Pipeline, but in 3 foot Huntington or Malibu it would be fine.
