  1. She can lay up to 18 more this season!  Feed her well, and make sure she has calcium available 24/7 (in a small bowl in the habitat).

Your adults shouldn't be on a loose substrate either, but never put a baby on one.  The best thing for the new hatchlings is plain white paper towels.

I have 17 eggs in the incubator, and I'm presently using those tiny condiment clear containers w/lids (like you'd get ketchup, etc. in) to make tiny little moisture hides.

I prefer using clear 'bowls' so I can closely monitor the new arrivals.

Good luck with your babies, 'Grandma!'  They are JUST adorable when they emerge.  If you're lucky - you might catch one in the process, but usually, you peek in and voila~!  The baby is there.

  2. Shredded Geico advertisements.  Gecko's love Geico.

  3. sand, it is soft

well SORRY!!!!!! i don't have a lizard, and it says use sand for some types of lizards

  4. Papertowels are good for hatchlings and efor eggs moss is good because of the moisture it holds

dont use sand no matter what it can be impacted by your gecko eating it and can be fatal

  5. dont use sand, as the babies tend to eat it and get impacted - and then they could die

it doesnt look as nice but i used just plain old newspaper for mine

but you could also use reptile carpet - it looks nice, inst too expensive, is easy to clean and cant harm your geckos

  6. you could use paper towel. or you could buy calcisand, it will not cause impaction in your gecko stomach and it looks like sand but its made of calcium.

  7. Never sand! Man I wish people would not jive out dangerous information.  Leos tend to lunge at their food and usually gather up substrate in the process. I used to use sand till one of my leos long ago got impacted and I had to spend a lot of time and money getter him better.  So I switched to and indoor/outdoor carpet. They sell it at menards and other stores, it is really cheap and easily rinsed clean and with leos being so clean and potty traines as it is I usually only have to vaccuum up the doodie in the corner of the cage, after I took the leo out of course.  This is very sanitary and I never have problems anymore and it seems my leos love the switch, it makes it easier to catch and consume prey.

As for the eggs, you will want to place them on top of moist vermiculite, that is the best stuff. Be sure to keep them warm and the vermiculite moist, never wet.

  8. My neighbor just uses sand.

  9. The only substrate recommended for baby leopard geckos is paper towel.

Guy: Vermiculite is a better medium for egg incubation. It holds moisture better than any moss.

Caropatm: You should not give advice on something you obviously know so little about. Calci-sand is the worst substrate for leopard geckos and especially babies. It does exactly what you claim it doesn't. It causes impaction (especially so with baby leos)

  10. conconut husk stuff it comes in a brick you put in water and turns into 8 quarts of dry like soft coconut husk, its attractive keeps humididity, and yesa
