  1. You need to be a black belt to qualify at the olympics but it does not matter what dan you are.

  2. lol, well, white belt although not advised, in practical sense, black belt because you would probaby get owned. But, your choice if you AND your country feels you are ready

  3. most likely black because you got to be good to get to the olympics.

  4. THIS IS JUST A GUESS, BUT FROM ALL THE PICTURES I'VE SEEN (AS I HAVEN'T SEEN IT ON TV AT ALL!), THEY ALL HAVE BLACK BELTS...I WOULD THINKI YOU HAVE TO BE THE BEST OF THE BEST ATHLETES, SO IT WOULD MAKE SENSE THAT YOU HAVE TO BE A BLACK BELT

NOW IF ANYONE READING THIS CAN ANSWER MY QUESTION, PLEASE E-MAIL ME, WHY DON'T THEY HAVE KARATE OR MIXED MARTIAL ARTS IN THE OLYMPICS, NOT JUST JUDO AND TAEKWONDO?  TAEKWONDO'S EXPENSIVE AND IS A DIRECT CONTACT SPORT STARTING AT WHITE BELT, WHICH IS WHY MY DAUGHTER TAKES SHAOLIN KEMPO KARATE INSTEAD.  ALSO ARE THERE WOMEN TAEKWONDO & JUDO ATHLETES IN THE OLYMPICS?
