What benefits are available if i am 18 and my father served in the navy from 1984-1989 and died this year.?

I just wander if anyone has an idea of available military or federal benefit for college

  1. The military has all sorts of college programs available from tuition assistance to ROTC. You have to make the commitment though.


  2. You can get discounts on insurance and checking and savings accounts and stuff - see usaa.com to see if you qualify.

    Other than that nothing...

  3. none through the military.  he wasn't retired and he didn't die in combat.

    Your dad might have been eligible.

    But you have done nothing that would make you eligible for anything.

  5. None. the GI Bill your dad would have gotten was for him not family membres not to mention that you were bron after the fact!
