Hey guys, just wondering if you can help? Were sending off a normal housing form, and disabled persons form, and hopefully will get a house 2-3 bedroom, because of her health/disabled problems.

We have had a look at the areas and we just dont know the best ones to choose. As we need to be VERY local to everything, shops, shopping centres, buses, supermarkets prefrebably asda lol. But the area has to benefit her needs because of her disablity and beacuse being deaf/blind, she needs to know her environment. But not sure what areas are best and excatly where would be the very good accomodation in these areas, Kings-Norton, Kings-Heath, Bournville, Stirchley, Northfield, Bartley Green, and Rubery....But were just sooo confused what are the best to choose? If you know anymore areas please let me know, and your views that area ect

Thanks :D

  1. Try Chelmsley Wood. It has a large shopping center with a new Asda being built, several buses that got to the city center, solihull, sutton coldfield, also near to the airport and nec and international trainstation. there is a park and a small lake and the area is undergoing a massive redevelopment, so its a nice place to be, i've been here since 1969!!!!

  2. PLEASE, PLEASE..... Don't choose Chelmsley Wood, It's an absolute dump!!!

         I would recommend

    Longbridge,

    Kings Norton,

    Solihull,

    Bournville, (Highly)

    Rubery,

    Sutton Coldfield,

Coften Hackett, (near the Lickey hills, nice)

Redditch,(Town about 10 miles from Birmingham, more countryside)

    I wouldn't choose,

    Bartley Green,

    Northfield,

    Kings Heath,

    Sparkbrook,

    Balsall heath,

    Small heath,

or anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the City Centre.

Bournville is by far the best area to choose, as residents have to sign a tenancy agreement, abiding by strict rules laid down by Bournville association, bad behaviour, and unruly conduct is not tolerated, so it's a safe quiet place to live.
