What (big) city is the cheapest to live in? the funnest?

i want to get out of phoenix but i don't know where to go. i would lvoe some inputs on some major cities (cheap and plenty of things to do)

There is no way to answer that question.  Any city can be fun, but it's up to YOU to make your life enjoyable, no matter where you live.  And there is no such thing as a cheap major city.
