While not many coprorations are based here, several have major centers.

The only major companies I can think of with their home offices here are Winn-Dixie, Modis and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida.

Companies with a large presence here are Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, Citicards, CSX, Allstate, Landstar, Anheuser-Busch, Aetna and Fidelity Financial. AOL used to have a large call center here but closed it a couple of years ago. Since Jacksonville has a sizable port, theres a number of shipping and trucking firms as well as companies related to shipbuilding. Last (but certainly not least) is the US Navy at the bases in Mayport and NAS JAX.
