Question:

What bike frame size should i get?

I'm 5'4 13 years old, 110 pounds. I need this bike to last me a good 3-4 years, so bigger the better

  1. go to your local bike shop and get sized. a good shop wont press you into a model just because they have it in stock. different bikes have different geometry, so don't waste the time with all the online sizing calculators.


  2. Real bikes are not measured by wheel size; they are measured by wheel size. Unfortunately, you're probably not going to be able to by a bike now that will fit you when you're 17. You're probably in for a bike growth spurt. How tall are your parents? If your dad is 6' and your mom is 5' 8"  you have a good shot at being really tall. I would say to go to a good bike shop, they should take all of these factors into account and get you on the best bike.

  3. i actually believe it goes by wheel size... i would suggest 26". that is what both of my brothers got when they were ur age and size and the bikes have lasted them through college. as a girl, i got a 24", so yeah, get a 26"! (again, i believe this is by wheel size, not frame, and that is how most bikes are measured)
