Question:

What bike should a learner buy... help!?

Here in NSW, Australia a novice rider is licenced to ride a bike with engine capacity up to and including 660ml and which does not exceed a power to weight ratio of 150 kilowatts per tonne.

That's any bike in the category from 0-260ml excluding:

Suzuki RGV250

Kawasaki KR250 (KR-1 and KR1s models)

Honda NSR250

Yamaha TZR250

Aprila RS250

Now, I just intend to go from home to gym and back... so my intention is that I buy one bike and use that... of course, I will get hooked and upgrade later.... but at this point I can't pass that bill through the petticoat parliament... so ... what do you think

  5. it depends on what you want to do. I BMX so i got an expensive *** mongoose if you like biking on trails get a bike with gears just ride a couple until u find 1 u like

  6. Buy as cheap as you can, so when you bugger it up, you wont be out a lot

  7. Best resale is honda VTR250

    easiest to ride with good resale is honda CB250

  8. Don't know much about bikes but Honda's are supposed to be good.Ya know Ronda rides a Honda...Arghhhhhhhhh school days.
