What bike should i get??

Question

I want to get a bike to ride around town, I live in santa monica so there are hills around. I want something that will last. I wont be doing any serious riding on it or anything rough just basically going from one place to another.

I dont want to spend too much on the bike. prefereably at most $250.

Any suggestions would be great also were to get it as well. thanks a lot

do you want a road bike or mountain or a hybrid.  im assuming a hybrid so you can be a little rough as well as perform somwhat well on strret and still be able to ride off a curb or something.  250 is not really a lot of money when it comes to bikes. however sport chalet and even a sams club or costso might have a decent bike for a beginner for around that price.  if you cant find a hybrid bike go with a road since you ll be doing a lot of street with hills and the sprocket and chain set up is better for that. try the pennysaver or even craigslist.org for a cheap used bike.

For Pete's Sake - do some shopping and research.  Check prices and featrues/benefits.  You didn't give us anything to go on here.  Narrow it down a bit, okay?
